Diplo works on EDM-based movie

This truly is what I have been waiting for, an Electronic Dance Music based movie and thanks to Diplo this dream of mine and probably all EDM fanatics, will become a reality.The movie has no title at the moment but the plot centers around three teenagers, as they desperately try to get into a Diplo show. The movie is being characterised as 8 Mile meets Project X. According to Diplo this movie is going to have a whole new spin that differs it from other movies. In an interview Diplo said "People are still doing the same movie ideas about high school problems and this and that but kids they love to go to these festivals and dance and have a party, so we kind of came up with an idea of something to do where it takes place at a festival."

He however does have some experience in the film industry as he have studied film in college and directed a documentary about Rio's funk carioca scene. So he does have a bit of experience in the film industry.
