HISTORY OF HOUSE

As we all know today House music is a sub-genre of Electronic Dance Music that originated in the beautiful city of Chicago in the early 1980’s. Ever since then the music genre soon spread and developed in other major cities of America and eventually spreading internationally.Early House music possessed many characteristics of disco music but it was more electronic and uplifting. House music is popular for its original dance-based characteristics provided by drum machines, off beat hi-hat cymbals and synthesized basslines.

As the years went by House was soon played all over the world, reaching cultures and diversity. Therefore developing into many subgenres. Today House music is primarily known to be one of the most diverse music genres to exist ranging from soulful-and-deep to hardcore-electro dance beats. During the development of the genre, House music fused with many other genres transitioning into even more genres like Disco House, Electro House, Deep House, Latin House, etc.

Unlike most music genres House music which is known to be the biggest EDM subgenre displays more meaning and positive messages. House music is characterised to be a cross between church and the dance floor because of its PLURful nature.
